RetailPOS + Stripe
RetailPOS is designed around bring-your-own-Stripe: card processing runs through your Stripe account at your rate, with no cut to us. Card acceptance is rolling out; cash sales work today.
Status: Bring-your-own-Stripe card processing is rolling out — not live yet. Cash works today.
What it's for
Most POS systems lock you to their processor at a fixed rate. RetailPOS is built the other way: you connect your own Stripe account, keep your own negotiated rate, and RetailPOS never takes a per-transaction cut. That's the model — your processing stays yours.
What you can do today
Honest status: the bring-your-own-Stripe card path is rolling out and not live yet — the payments provider is still a placeholder in production. Cash sales work today, and the rest of the platform (catalog, inventory, customers, loyalty, reporting, offline) is fully usable now.
If taking cards through your own Stripe is a must-have before you commit, tell us at contactand we'll give you the current timeline straight — we'd rather do that than have you switch on a promise.
FAQ
- Can I take Stripe card payments in RetailPOS today?
- Not yet — card acceptance via Stripe is rolling out and the payments provider is a placeholder in production. Cash sales work now. We're being upfront so you don't adopt on a promise.
- What does bring-your-own-Stripe mean?
- When it's live, card processing runs through your own Stripe account at your own rate — RetailPOS takes no per-transaction cut. Your processing relationship stays yours.
- Will RetailPOS take a percentage of my sales?
- No. The model is a flat per-shop software fee; processing fees go to your own provider, not to us — now or when Stripe card acceptance ships.
