Convenience & retail.

Scan a barcode, take cash or card, done. The simplest setup we ship — under five minutes from sign-up to first sale. Flat $29 a shop, multi-location on every plan, your data leaves with you in one click if you ever go.

What's in the Retail starter

  • 4 categories: Beverages, Snacks, Household, Toiletries.
  • 16 items pre-loaded. Selling takes one off your stock — that's it.
  • Barcode scanner ready. Plug one in, scan an item, it lands on the bill.
  • Low-stock warnings. Set a minimum per item per shop; we tell you before you run out.

Starter SKUs

  • BEV-COLA
  • BEV-WATER

When the shop grows

  • Add sizes or colours to an item when you need them — no need to set them up on day one.
  • Charge for extras like a bag or gift wrap as add-on options.
  • Change prices in bulk from a spreadsheet — past sales keep their original prices.
  • Move stock between shops in one step when you open a second location.

Why not the cheap option?

  • vs Square (free + processing)
Cheap to start; multi-location is an upgrade. Sales reports beyond 90 days require a paid tier. Exporting your full data set is a multi-export, manual stitch.
  • vs Clover (~$80-150/mo + hardware lease)
Hardware lease locks you in for 3 years. Apps you need (loyalty, reporting) are paid add-ons. Processing locked to First Data / Fiserv.
  • vs Lightspeed Retail (~$89/mo)
Built for inventory-rich apparel and specialty. The convenience-store flow works but you pay for matrix + consignment + ecommerce features your shop will never use.

Moving from Square or Clover?

  • Items + customer list import via CSV. Square and Clover both export — even from the free tier.
  • Your existing barcode scanner works as-is (Honeywell, Zebra, generic USB — any keyboard-wedge scanner).
  • Bring your own Stripe account; lower processing fees than Square or Clover, no per-machine fee.
  • Switching mid-month is fine: ring sales on the old system through Sunday, fresh start Monday on RetailPOS.

Frequently asked questions

How fast is the till at peak?
Scan-to-cart under 100ms on an iPad with a USB scanner. We benchmark the cashier loop because a slow till at lunch rush is the difference between making payroll and not.
What about multiple shops?
Flat-rate per shop, not per feature. $29/store/month Starter, $69/store/month Pro. Move stock between shops in one step from the owner dashboard.
Loyalty for regulars?
Built in. Default is 1 point per $1 spent; configurable per tenant. Points-for-discount redemption at checkout. No separate loyalty app, no monthly fee on top.
Do refunds restock automatically?
Yes — every refund proportionally restocks the lines that were refunded. Partial refunds restock proportionally; full refunds return all units.
Offline mode?
Included. The till keeps ringing through internet outages; queued sales sync when the connection returns. No duplicates, no manual reconciliation. Same behaviour on every plan.
