The grid is the heart of the Boutique pack. Instead of typing out nine or eighteen near-identical items by hand, you name the sizes along one axis and the colours along the other, and RetailPOS seeds the whole matrix of variants in one pass.

From then on each cell is its own sellable SKU with its own stock, but the till still shows a single tile for the design — the cashier taps in and picks the size and colour. This is how a linen blouse in cream and sage, in three sizes, behaves as six variants without feeling like six items to manage.

Seed a grid from sizes and colours

Open the design in the Catalog and go to its variants.
Enter the sizes you carry (S, M, L — or 28/30/32/34 for waists, 38–42 for shoes).
Enter the colours (Cream, Sage; White/Black/Navy; Indigo/Black).
Seed the grid — RetailPOS creates one variant per cell, so 3 sizes × 2 colours becomes 6 SKUs.

Tip:Sizing is just labels, so use whatever your stock uses — alpha sizes for tops, numeric waists for jeans, EU numbers for footwear. Knit sweaters and other single-colour styles just seed a one-column grid.

Edit cells in the grid editor

The grid editor shows the whole matrix at a glance — size on one axis, colour on the other. Tweak a cell that does not follow the pattern (drop a combination you never stocked, adjust a per-variant price), and leave the rest as the seed created them. It is far quicker than editing eighteen separate rows.

One tile at the till

However many cells a design has, the register shows it as a single tile. The cashier taps the design and picks the size and colour, then it rings as that specific variant. On-hand for each cell is visible, so staff can see that cream sold out in L before navy did.

Note:Combos can bundle specific cells. The seeded Cotton Tee 3-pack references the white, black and navy tees in size M, so a set price rings while stock still moves on those three variants.

Can I add a size or colour later?: Yes. Add the new axis value and seed the extra cells; existing variants and their stock are untouched.
