Grooming services and groomer commission
For Pet shop owners & managers · 5 min read · Last reviewed 2026-08-04
Grooming services ring up just like retail products — they’re items in the Grooming services category with a price. The pack seeds full grooms by dog size, a bath, a nail trim, a de-shed treatment and teeth brushing, so you can start booking in the grooming room straight away.
The difference is who gets credited. Attach the groomer to the service line and RetailPOS routes commission to them, the same way salon services credit a stylist.

Credit the groomer
- Ring the grooming service on the order.
- Attach the groomer to the service line.
- On payment, their commission is credited automatically.
See who earned what
Commission credited to each groomer rolls up in your staff reports, so at the end of the week you can see who groomed, who upsold retail, and what each is owed — without a separate spreadsheet.
Frequently asked
- How is commission worked out?
- Commission credits the groomer attached to the service line, at the rate set in Settings → Orders (10% by default). It appears in your staff reports.
- Can one ticket have both a groom and retail?
- Yes. Both halves share one tenant and one cash drawer, so a single order can mix grooming services and products.
- Do grooms deplete back-bar shampoo automatically?
- Not in this pack. Grooming services are priced items today; track back-bar products as their own stocked items and adjust as you use them.
